Embodi Dancer
At Embodi Movement, we help dancers build the strength, alignment, control, and body awareness they need to perform at their best.
Our Pilates-based conditioning system teaches dancers how to move efficiently, recover well, and perform with power and confidence - both on and off stage.
Whether your dancer is training for exams, eisteddfods, auditions or simply wants to feel more in control of their technique, Embodi Movement gives them the foundations they need to perform at their best and stay in love with dance.
Embodi Dancer Pathway
Every dancer begins with the Embodi 12-Week Foundation Program - an immersive, personalised introduction to the Embodi Method. From there, they progress into an ongoing, structured pathway designed to support them through every stage of their dance training.
Embodi Dancer is ideal for:
-
Junior, intermediate and senior dancers
-
Full-time or part-time dance students
-
Dancers recovering from niggles or wanting to prevent injury
Dancers who feel:
-
Sore, tight or “burnt out” from heavy training
-
Stuck at a technical plateau (turnout, jumps, balance, extension)
-
Anxious about auditions, exams or “keeping up”
This is not just another stretch class. It’s a structured, progressive program that teaches dancers how their bodies work, so they can move with intention – not just effort.

The Embodi Approach
At Embodi, we don’t just build stronger dancers - we build smarter movers.
Our conditioning method blends:
-
Clinical Pilates principles
-
Dance biomechanics and functional strength
-
Mindset coaching and recovery education
Each dancer learns how their body works and how to support it, so they move with strength, ease, and trust in their body.
Our approach focuses on:
-
Alignment & Awareness: reconnecting to posture, breath, and control
-
Strength & Stability: building endurance through the hips, core, and spine
-
Mobility & Recovery: maintaining flexibility safely
-
Mindset & Confidence: helping dancers feel capable, supported, and in control
Phase 1
12-Week Embodi Foundation
Discover your body. Build your base.
The Foundation phase is where every dancer starts.
It begins with a 1:1 Movement Assessment, followed by 12 weeks of pilates based conditioning sessions designed to:
-
Reconnect dancers to their alignment, breath, and control
-
Build strength and endurance through the hips, spine, and core
-
Improve mobility safely and intentionally
-
Create awareness of their individual movement patterns
Program options:
-
1× per week Studio Sessions (small group)
-
1x per week Private session
-
2× per week Hybrid Sessions (1 Private + 1 Studio)
Each dancer finishes this phase with measurable improvements in control, stability, and confidence, ready to progress into ongoing Embodi training.
Phase 2
Embodi Progression
Strengthen. Integrate. Perform.
After completing the Foundation, dancers transition into the Embodi Progression Program - an ongoing, term-based membership that deepens their strength, refines technique, and prepares them for performance seasons.
Program options:
-
1× per week Studio Sessions (small group)
-
1x per week Private session
-
2× per week Hybrid Sessions (1 Private + 1 Studio)
Focus areas evolve each term:
-
Advanced core and pelvic control
-
Turnout and alignment under load
-
Power and endurance for jumps, extensions, and turns
-
Recovery, mobility, and nervous system reset
-
Mindset and performance confidence
Each term builds on the last, so dancers experience long-term progression rather than a short-term challenge.
